Katy paints in watercolours and inks from life, and loves to capture the beauty of the natural environment, with a particular focus on Australian natives. She also creates designs from these paintings and drawings, which are printed onto natural fabrics and made into various useful items. Since these items can be used everyday, she feels she is fulfilling an aim to enrich people's everyday experience!
Katy trained as an artist in the UK and has worked in most artistic mediums, including sculptural ones, but her main loves are colour and the natural world, which she finds can be rendered beautifully with the immediacy of watercolour and ink paints.
